“Animal Trax” really got its start when Julie
was teaching music as a volunteer for her daughters’
classes at elementary school in California — where
there are no art or music classes in the schools. One
class was beginning a unit on penguins, so Julie asked
Bob whether he could write a song about penguins. “Penguins”
was the result! Soon we had a fair number of children’s
songs written for classrooms, Christmas programs, etc.
We put them together with some new animal songs,
and “Animal Trax” was born!
It’s truly a family effort, involving just about
every member of the household in some way—except
maybe Barbara, our very round hamster!
